At the end of Midnight Marauder, there was mention of a dance. This is my take on that dance. It also introduces some very special teenaged girls based on my dear friend Mary F’s real life daughters.
The stories in the section deal with our friends the Bob-Whites during the summer of 1984. Trials, tribulations, a few revealing connections, and a huge collision of the past and the present--hence the title.

As the Summer comes to a close, there are a few loose ends to tie.
Now that there are eight, follow them through a year of change, growth, reconciliation and justice.
This takes place during the summer of 1985--the second summer. Three of the BWGs are working at camp. Five are having an adventure in the Hawai’ian Islands, and a couple of adults are about to have the adventure of a lifetime.
School has started again. Mart, Dan and Tessa are Seniors; Trixie, Honey and Diana are Juniors. It’s going to be a year of shocks, surprises and change. Growing up, moving on. Endings and new beginnings. In short, it’s a year of transitions and changes.
